HighEdWeb Michigan

The HighEdWeb Regional Conference in Michigan is designed for all higher education web professionals—from programmers and developers to communicators and designers—who want to explore the unique web issues facing colleges and universities today. Registration for the conference is now closed.

HighEdWeb Michigan will see a great group of 180 higher education professionals from around the state and beyond. The following are some housekeeping notes for registered attendees, to help you prepare and find your way.

Registration

Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. on Monday, May 20. Be sure to arrive in enough time to register and get breakfast before the keynote presentation begins at 8:30 a.m.

Location & Parking

HighEdWeb Michigan will take place in Riverfront Center, 1 Riverfront Center West, Flint, Michigan. Riverfront Center offers an attached parking ramp with free parking for conference guests. This ramp can be accessed from Water Street, which connects to Saginaw Street (where you’ll likely drive in). A diagram is available on the Riverfront website.

For those traveling into town without a vehicle, shuttle transportation will be available to Riverfront from the Holiday Inn Express and Wingate Inn. For shuttle information, please talk with the registration staff at your hotel.

Monday Night After-hours Event

Will you be joining us Monday night at the Flint Institute of Arts? The menu will include heavy hors d’oeuvres. There will also be a cash bar, as well as music performed by the University of Michigan-Flint student jazz ensemble. Guests will have access to all galleries during the reception.

For the After-hours Event, a shuttle bus will provide transportation from Riverfront to the Flint Institute of Arts beginning at 5:30 p.m. This shuttle will bring guests back to Riverfront beginning at 8 p.m., and also make stops at Holiday Inn Express, Wingate Inn, and First Street Residence Hall if needed.
